Tasked with managing the brand’s technical infrastructure, e-commerce footprint, and creative direction, the project involved a transition from fragmented digital assets to a streamlined, multi-channel retail powerhouse.

By integrating advanced SEO tools, optimizing backend stability, and launching aggressive social commerce initiatives—specifically via TikTok Shop, Lazada, and Shopee—Modern Hippi achieved significant organic growth, improved brand equity, and a robust technological foundation for future scalability.

Phase 1: Infrastructure Stabilization and Strategic Migration

The initial phase focused on the “A-Z” of technical reliability. Modern Hippi required a more resilient hosting environment and a more responsive domain service provider to support its global e-commerce ambitions.

 

The Migration Challenge

One of the most critical hurdles was the migration of the primary web architecture. During the transition of hosting and domain services, a technical conflict arose from the legacy provider’s DNS configuration. This led to a brief period of downtime.

Technical Note: While migrations of this scale are complex, the downtime was strictly contained to a six-hour window. This issue was identified as a third-party service provider error. Through overnight troubleshooting and direct intervention with the provider’s technical team, the site was restored and optimized before peak business hours, ensuring minimal impact on customer experience and brand reputation.

Platform Evolution

Following the stabilization of the legacy environment, I spearheaded the transition to Shopify. This involved:

WooCommerce Rectification: Cleaning up “bloated” code and resolving persistent errors in the previous WordPress environment.

Security & Compliance: Implementation of site-wide SSL certificates and advanced CRM integrations to ensure data privacy and seamless customer relationship management.

System Audit: A comprehensive audit of all existing technologies to identify redundancies and improve business process efficiency.

 

Phase 2: Multi-Channel E-commerce Expansion

To transform Modern Hippi into a ubiquitous household name in the Singaporean market, we moved beyond the standalone website into the “Big Three” marketplaces of Southeast Asia.

TikTok Shop & Marketplace Integration

I managed the end-to-end business verification and registration for TikTok Marketplace. This included:

TikTok Shop Setup: Configuring the merchant backend and aligning it with Singapore’s regulatory requirements.

Creator Studio: Utilizing the TikTok Creator Studio to bridge the gap between product listings and viral content.

Catalogue Management: Implementing automated syncs for product updates, ensuring price and stock consistency across all platforms.

Lazada and Shopee Optimization

Simultaneously, I oversaw the verification and listing processes for Lazada and Shopee. This wasn’t merely a data entry task; it involved strategic category mapping, SEO-optimized product descriptions, and the resolution of API sync issues to ensure the brand maintained a high “Seller Rating” from day one

I introduced and implemented a sophisticated “MarTech” stack to track ROI and organic performance:
